NEWARK KNIGHTS SCHOLARSHIP FUND
The Newark Knights Foundation and Motorcycle Club are committed to the growth and development of Newark's Youth. In addition to presenting ourselves as model citizens, respected community leaders, and promoters of safe motorcycling, we feel it is important to aid in the development of talented young people in pursuit of higher education.
The Scholarship Fund is made available through the donations provided by club members and friends of the Newark Knights Foundation and Motorcycle Club. These scholarships will be offered to eligible students regardless of race, sex, creed, national origin or religious preference.
The Newark Knights Scholarship will be made available to students who attend one of the (6) public high schools in Newark. The six public high schools are Weequahic, Central, Malcolm X. Shabazz, Westside, Barringer, Eastside High Schools. To be eligible the students must be residents of Newark, New Jersey. Students must meet all of the criteria and the deadline date to be eligible for consideration for the scholarships. Scholarship awards may be applied towards school tuition, room, board and books.
The (6) scholarships will be in the amount of $500.00 each to (6) deserving high school graduating seniors. Application packets must be postmarked no later than May 2nd, 2011. Award letters will be forwarded to the recipients by May 26, 2011. Mail complete application packets to:

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA Completed Application High School Transcript (Official Transcript) Minimum Grade Point Average of 2.5
If available attach a copy of the acceptance letter from the College/Business school. Two letters of recommendation from a Teacher, Guidance Counselor, Minister, Write a 500 word essay Topic: “Why do I deserve to be given a Newark Knights Foundation Scholarship?”
